Hola!
I’m Olga (she/her), a London based designer, recently graduated from Product and Industrial Design Ba at Central Saint Martins. Following my interest in circular manufacturing I’m currently a 3D printer Operator at Batch.Works
My design work combines speculative and practical design to challenge current norms and inspire positive change. I see design as a tool to investigate the hidden systems that shape human behaviour. With playful interventions, I aim to interrogate our day to day rituals, reflecting on their implications to create more humane and empathetic experiences.
I recently completed a UX Design bootcamp and I’m currently learning HTML, CSS, Vectary and crochet.
My current read is Unmasking AI by Dr. Joy Buolambwini.
Circular Materials Hub
In 2024 I worked at the Swap-Shop in Central Saint Martins University. The Circular Materials Hub named the ‘Swap-Shop’ is an initiative conceived by Renée Materials, the Climate Emergency Network and UAL students and technicians, set to facilitate material swapping between students and staff, re-circulating unwanted or unused materials within the building. We aim to tackle the climate, ecological and cost of living crises and to support students from less advantaged backgrounds with free materials.
We have analysed the organisation's formal and informal waste-streams, material systems, and stakeholder networks, alongside developing a Circular Material Hub adapted to the users’ and institutions’ needs.
